The Eton College Universities Summer School (ECUSS) provides 120 Sixth Form boys and girls of high calibre from state schools in Britain with a teaching and tutorial programme designed to promote interest in university studies. During the course, a number of leading academics and educationalists visit Eton to provide talks alongside question and answer sessions, and students are also given interview practice and help on how to write a UCAS statement. These courses are very popular and attract a high number of applicants each year.
Xổ số vlThis residential course at Eton is not about improving A Level grades, but is designed to help students with their university applications through an exciting and challenging ten days of study. Applicants choose a subject and we provide dynamic teaching and, more importantly, the company of like-minded students from all over the country to work and socialise with.

Students enjoy a packed timetable with lessons, study time, sporting and cultural opportunities. Visiting university lecturers teach and discuss entry procedures. Our aim is to give help students make a persuasive application to the universities of their choice, with many going on to Oxford or Cambridge and other Russell Group universities.
ECUSS is open to all students regardless of means. The College subsidises the cost of the course and it can be reduced or in some cases waived, depending upon financial circumstances. We would encourage applications from ambitious young people to attend ECUSS, whatever their financial circumstances.

Rowing Instructional Courses
The two are open to boys and girls from any school in the UK or abroad. All participants spend five days learning to row or developing the skills they already possess. A significant number of bursary places are available for students who attend UK state schools. The courses are based at Eton College’s Rowing Centre and venue of the 2012 Olympics, Dorney Lake, and students will be able to experience rowing up the River Thames to visit Eton’s own island, Queen’s Eyot.
English Language and Cultural Courses
These courses provide foreign students with an insight into the British way of life and heritage, combining English tuition with a range of out-of-class activities and cultural visits.
Xổ số vlStudents are tested at the beginning and the end of the teaching programme and certificates are issued on the successful completion of the course, together with a report on each individual.
A key aim of the courses is to give an insight into the British way of life. A wide variety of out-of-class activities complements the teaching in the classroom. As well as experiencing Eton College’s cultural treasures, students visit other places of cultural and educational interest, including London Museums, Windsor Castle, Oxford University, Cambridge University, Syon House and Hampton Court Palace. These excursions are used as a basis for the teaching programme. Diary sessions are also an integral part of the course and allow students to develop their writing skills in the context of their cultural experience.
